Christmas 2008/ New Year 2009

Hi guys, this is the belated post for what happened over the holidays.

As usual, we had plenty of food, and lots of fun. We were almost complete, having the Leungs (with a brief visit from Mrs. Nita Rilloraza and an extended one from Tita Mary Leung, the current mah-jong champion), the Andy Fillers (Basti and Nikki came home in time for New Year’s day), the Servandos, the Peter Fillers (Mikey came home from work after Christmas), and of course, Atty. Manoling Chan and family. It was cold, about 11 degrees in Baguio. Ate K and Tito M also made the holidays quite fun. We had a lot of picnics, mahjong games, and many other food-related activities. Peter and Yvette Filler also opened a new convenience store right at our doorstep, and opened a few weeks before Christmas and is doing very well. We also had the annual Filler-Bautista golf tournament on December 27, and we are very happy to announce that the Fillers won again this year, a runaway win! And we celebrated it at Cantinetta in John Hay, the restaurant that Nanette Filler manages. We had good fun and good food, definitely. For New Year’s Eve, the family hired a pianist who could sing and play many tunes, and everyone was happy dancing and singing as we waited for the New Year. Miggy Servando also celebrated his 10th birthday on January 1.

All in all, it was another very blessed Christmas and New Year’s.
